Der True-Shooting-Endpoint fasst Zweier, Dreier und Freiwürfe in eine Zahl zusammen: TS% = Punkte ÷ (2 × (Feldwurfversuche + 0,44 × Freiwurfversuche)) × 100, wobei die 0,44 annähert, wie viele Ballbesitze ein Freiwurfzug wirklich verbraucht – 25 Punkte bei 18 Feldwürfen und 6 Freiwürfen ergeben etwa 60,6 %, gegenüber einem Ligadurchschnitt von etwa 56–58 %. Der Effective-Field-Goal-Endpoint bewertet einen Dreier mit 50 % mehr als einen Zweier: eFG% = (erzielte Feldwürfe + 0,5 × erzielte Dreier) ÷ Feldwurfversuche × 100, also 9 Treffer inklusive 3 Dreiern bei 18 Versuchen ergeben 58,3 % gegenüber rohen 50 %, die Differenz ist der Wert des Distanzwurfs.
